Another good thing with Bronchs (hard to believe I am saying there is a "good" thing LOL) is if you have an area that is really clogged that meds & CPT arent budging,


They can go in & vacuum it out. I had a few spots that they squirted Pulmozyme in & cleared it out. It kind of gives them a look from the inside out instead of the outside in.

HI my name is Alexandria and im 13..I just had one done when I was in the hospital In August of 07...they just put the scope down your throat well my doctor told me they did it to get up some mucus from deep down in my lungs bcs whenever i was coughing stuff up it wasnt from deep down it was from near the top of my lungs....So yea like everyone said its a closer look at the mucus..after they did my scope I was kinda up a woozy a little and I felt them like putting a suction machine or something a little bit down my throat so they could get the spare mucus that came up with the scope...that was my first time getting it done..and afterwards i just felt lightheaded from all the meds they gave me and i had a headache..but no throat pains at all! so thats my story =] hope it helped somewhat !
