interesting, i have never heard of brushing teeth at school as a class...was the teacher a dental hygentist before becoming a teacher? I'm not a germaphob and those little plastic caps do have holes in bottoms, that would allow toothbrush to dry, but I don't think I would be a big fan of kids brushing their teeth at school. While I think in therory it may sound good, I think this is a parents responsibility. Are there kids in the school that are lacking a proper home life.... My kids brush in the morning and before bed, so I think I might have to politely excuse them from this assembly line.

Thank you all very much for your replies. I talked with my sons teacher yesterday and told her that I would rather him not participate in the brushing teeth at school. She completely understood. The class brushig their teeth at school is not a school policy. His teacher is just the sweetest most caring teacher any of my kids have ever had. She really is doing it out of the kindness of her heart and she believes that she is helping the kids. She would never do anything that she thought would harm any of these kids. I am very thankful she is his teacher and is so willing to help me in any way with my son. She has even brought in extra snacks (such as peanut butter, crackers, etc) in case he needs them. Other than the teeth brushing thing school is going very well for him so far. I was so nervous letting him go but he is really doing great!

Since the current recommendation for children is to brush at least twice a day, this can be accomplished at home before and after school.
