Was reading another post and it looks like everyone sterilizes masks as well as the neb pieces. Is this done by choice or on recommendation from cf clinic?
I ask because my kid's clinic says just wash it soapy hot water, which considering the condensation that builds up on the inside of the masks during treatment seems like a bad idea. Yet that is what we have been doing for over six years with no problems.
Lately we have been putting masks in pot of boiling water after nebs are sterilized and after burner is turned off. We let them soak for about five minutes.
thanks!
