Jerry, congrats. on the new lungs. I just read this thread today and I really needed a bright spot in my day. This was it. I hope all goes well for you during your recovery. Now you can start the rest of your life!! Keep us posted on your progress.

I would imagine it must be a foreign feeling to breath with only pain limiting you instead of the typical CF breathing. Good Luck!

Yes, most of my pain is around the incision area, yet some of it is below it as well. When they removed some of the tubes from my chest that drained fluids, I think they pulled one to soon. When I breathe deep I feel it. It will take time for my body to removed the fluid on its own, but hopefully soon <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Yes Energytxgal, breathing again is awesome, a feeling I had all but forgotten <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Recovery still going well. I have a bronchoscopy this thursday to see what and how things are going in there. Also starting my Pulmonary Rehab today, kind of excited about that. I been walking alot lately and am very excited that I can move around again without tiring out as I did. Only thing that tends to slow me down now it the pressure and pain that still there from the surgery, though the Hydromorphone(Dilaudid) they gave me helps alot with that.

Well, got to go for now getting a little tired again. Only got up to run an IV. Will pop in again soon.
