Calorie intake

Sigh... I'm jealous -- chocolate milk.. DS doesn't LIKE chocolate milk. BTW, I noticed Target actually carries a whole milk version of chocolate milk. I usually purchase their brand of whole milk (12 oz) and cream in smaller containers for trips 'cuz they're plastic with reclosable lids.

Oh and the kids cusine meals have about 350-400 calories. DS is into the fish sticks one, but won't eat the mac & cheese and is iffy on the corn with any of those meals. We too usually try to give DS a good snack after school and before bed -- usually it's peanuts or sunflower nuts. I've started carrying individual packets of peanuts in my car -- 1 oz is 180 calories. That or chewy granola bars. And I always send 3-4 packages of fruit snacks with my MIL when she takes DS to church. Sugar factor, but 80 calories a pop and he usually eats 2-3 packets.

Calories is something that we have never really thought about, sure we like to keep his intake as high as we can, but the trouble is we cook from scratch just about everything. So there is no way of knowing his true calorie intake, we do use a lot of cream and he also loves his chocolate milk. He gets his sweets (candy ?), but he snacks throo the day on cheese, fruit and cooked meat more.
