Hey there <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I'm pretty fact oriented, and like you, I haven't seen many facts out there about baby bottle sterilizers.

Out CF bugs are VIRULENT and aren't always killed that easily, as of course you know.

And as you know, i'm not against doing things that aren't necessarily "CFF endorsed" as long as the facts are there (eFlow, NAC, etc).

The link above says boiling for 5 minutes in the microwave is OK for sterilizing. So if you're doing it that way, that's cool.

But the baby bottle thing - I haven't seen anything as of yet. But if I see data showing it kills MRSA, PA, Cepacia, etc, then I'll buy into it.

For now, my dishwasher is my gift from God.

Thank you Amy.

Can you tell me which one you have?

How did you find out if yours stayed as hot as it needed to be for 30min?

I remember there was a discussion on the germ guardian but I don't think it 'maintained' the high temp for long enough.

This would be a lifesaver for us.

Also, do you take them out and air dry after the cycle or do you let the dish washer dry them?

I just wanted to point out/ask that the CF link amy posted said boil for five minutes or microwave for five minutes, it doesn't say to microwave for five minutes once it starts boiling.

I only microwave my nebs for five minutes and now I am wondering if I am reading it wrong.. To me to nuke for five minutes is the easiest so far.

I have a glass bowl with distilled water I fill up every day and I use it two times a day to put my nebs in the microwave... In between during the day I keep the bowl covered.. I dump it every night.

The PIA is drying the nebs, they never fully air dry on both sides.. so I have to dry them with a paper towel..
