Can i demand to only be in the hospital 2 days rather than a week

Your chances of a quick release will depend on what treatments the Dr. has in mind. If it is just to get IV antibiotics, 2 or 3 days to get levels could be enough (but it still just depends on how it works out). I think your first step is to get an exact list of what treatments are planned for the stay and go from there. One bit of advice: get admitted at the start of the week because it is tough to get released on a weekend.

EXCELLENT advice, I totally agree. You have a much better chance of getting out of there in a few days if you admit on Mon or Tuesday, but a Thursday admit will likely see you in well through the weekend. Weekends at the hospital are just less than helpful.

EXCELLENT advice, I totally agree. You have a much better chance of getting out of there in a few days if you admit on Mon or Tuesday, but a Thursday admit will likely see you in well through the weekend. Weekends at the hospital are just less than helpful.

he has been culturing a light stain of pseudomonas but really has no symptoms other than his PFTs. He does have a little bit of a wet cough right now, but he is getting over that cruddy sickness that went around the west.
We have our appointment in a few hours, so we will see what they say...
you guys are awesome!!!!! Sometimes my only sanity in this life God has chosen for us:)
