I've been in a simular discussion up here before about Tobi. And just wanted to say you can mix Albuterol with Tobi. There is nothing wrong with that. It doesnt lesson the effect of it. I have cleared this with my CF doctor. As long as you do an airway opening medication with or before Tobi, its fine. Just do not take Tobi then Albuterol. You can also add extra saline (regular) along with the Tobi/Albuterol neb in case it is too harsh for you to take, like myself. They told me i could do it either way, but it really came down to how long I wanted to sit down with a neb stuck in my mouth.
No, a 10min med A and 10min med B will not equal a 10min med AB, its more like a 15-25min med AB. I personally use a Pari Neb for Tobi/Albuterol, a regular neb for albuterol on my off months from tobi and a separate regular neb for my dnase. clean them out after each use.
