<b>hi im a mom of 2 boys with cf,we just moved 2 years ago and im still not to sure about their new doctor,while waitting for one of my sons pft"s i read what my other sons folder said and i wish now i didnt but lord knows its good that i did my son has chronic S. aureaus,,H. parainfluenzae,P aeruginosa and B gladioli pulmonary infection.when i ask his doc he says dont worry about it i dont know what this stuff is cant understand things i find on the web everything talks about death,i relly need help and dont know where to turn.weve been fightting this for 13 years all his life they said he would never see 3 he will be 13 this year.hes on tobi and pulmazine,and the vest which he hates i think hes tired of fightting i just dont know,anyone with any insight on these infections would help so much thanks and may god bless</b>

My son has Psuedomonas and he is 3 years old. May be you can call the CF foundation and ask them if there is another DRs office near you. Or you may be able to go on line to CFF.org and see what you can find out. May be you need to do the researcha nd take the results to your Dr and tell him to read up on it sence he is goin to be treating your child. That woul dmake me very nervious that you rchilds CF dr is clueless. Or you could call there old Dr and get the 2 dr to talk and figure something else out.

thanks im working on finding good info and bringing it with me to his next docs visit,just found out he got mrsa from last visit at hospitol so im hopeing i can be more cautiose with the cf center with germs,they still dont have children wear masks or nothing at the cf center so thats what im working on now,ty betty

Sorry to sound stupid but what is mrsa? If I were you [if you don't already do it] I would make sure he washes his hands when he gets in the room while waiting on the dr and put antibacterial gel on his hands also. You can 't be to carefull with a CF child.

What are the other infections your son gets? i didn't know anything about Pseudomonas until Collin got it. I am curious.

hi he also has staph,b.gladioli and others im still looking into these all i know is the psuedomons that he cultered is not the relly bad one.but was told he cant be around other children with cf.i keep getting diffrent answers to my questions from the doctor that raises more questions but im learning as i go, ty sandy<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
