wondering if anyone has been told they have cancer?? Not that having CF isn't enough to deal with. So i had went in to have my sinuses checked and they found a lump in my thyroid, so they wanted to do an ultrasound on it to see what was going on. well i just got the news that i have papillary thyroid cancer and cancer of the lymph nodes!!!! WHAT THE HELL! it is curable by almost 100% but they will have to go and remove my thyroid and some lymph nodes.

Im doing ok with the news, because i know that GOD only gives me things because i can handle them. Im starting to think that
GOD thinks im one hell of a strong person.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

I just wanted to know if anyone else has had this happen to them and how they coped with it all? I also need all the love and support i can get! I'm a mother of a 5 month old and need to be here for her, and of course my husband.

i am so sorry to hear this news.

i cannot IMAGINE how difficult this must be for you. as you said, as if CF isn't tough enough <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

UGG I am so sorry, My step sister at the age of 25 was Dx with Thyroid Cancer.. I made her go to Sloan in NYC which IMO is the best around... It was so, so, treatable.. She had her thyroid removed, was put in the hospital overnight and came home on a medication.. That was it.

The Oncologist there said if you had to get Cancer, Thyroid is the best to get..but still it is stressful and I am sorry.
