cat scratch fever

<br>has anyone had to deal with cat scratch fever?my grandsons eye has yellow matter in it like a cold took him to the dr fri, they said it was a sinus infection and stoped up tear duct, she put him on antibotics . today he went for eye app. he said it was cat scratch fever. neither one did blood work to check out their diagnoses. he is not running a fever , playing but not eating. thanks

Not really any blood work to run, 'cat scratch fever' is just a generic term for a bacterial infection often caused by a cat bite/scratch.

The 1st Dr called it an infection and started antibiotics, which sounds reasonable.

Eye doctor was just more specific and declared what kind of infection. I'm curious how unless there is signs of a scratch or bite, but not really relevant either way.

He will probably have swollen lymph nodes, and general icky feeling until the antibiotics kick in. At that point the symptoms should start to clear.
