Cayston

Ok, so I haven't cultured Psuedo since 2005, so my dr told me I could stop TOBI, and if I culture it again, she will put me on Cayston (yay!)

Long story short, started coughing up some nasty stuff yesterday, so I'm going to go ahead and use the TOBI I have on hand since that is abnormal for me.

My question is...I got approved for the novartis $10 co-pay card, so TOBI only costs me $10/month now. How does that compare to what you pay for Cayston? Do they have assistance for Cayston as well, or is it super expensive?

Thanks in advance.

Caroline - thanks for the info! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Jessica - no clue! I've been on TOBI every other month since 2005, and am very compliant and exercise a lot. Granted, I did not have a bronch done, so I guess technically there could be some still in my lungs, but since it hasn't shown up in a culture for 5 years my dr thought it was safe to stop TOBI for now since I'm not culturing it and not showing any symptoms. May turn out to come right back, but who knows.
