I beg to differ: i've got asthma and I have no allergies to speak of. I wouldn't jump to the conclusion by saying 'almost all have pretty severe'. I know several asthmatics who don't suffer from allergies.

Thank you all for your posts. I will mention to my DR at my next clinic about possibly having asthma too. It would explain alot with me <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
I agree with you Bree. I know of 4 asthmatics and none of them have allergies...nothing severe, just the normal ones but they aren't medicated or anything because they are not bad.

I know i have a component of asthma as well. A few years ago i noticed i would have a coughing attack only after being active. I could go food shopping walk all over and even push the cart slightly uphill to get to my car and have no problems. Once i stop BAM it would hit. Same thing would happen when i would walk on the treadmill, I'd be fine while walking but once i stopped and sat down, the coughing would start. My Dr. said it sounds like exercise induced asthma and started me on Advair (250/50) and its made a big difference.
