I also agree to get another opinion. My daughter and son-in law deal with phila (chop) and they are very happy with their cf team there. Im sure if you have any questions or need help, they could help answer your questions. My granddaughter is only 7 months, but they seem to always seem to reply to any questions they have. let us know.

Are these the docs at the CF clinic in Syracuse?? If so, I am surprised. I have gone there all my life and they have done great work for me. Of course I know that not every person has the same experience.
If you feel like you need to get a 2nd opinion, then that's what you need to do. You may need to get some fresh ideas from another doctor. It definitely wouldn't hurt!

that said, there still have been times when I've been tempted to seek out a second opinion. We are fortunate (?) in this area to have several options for CF centers all within a reasonable drive (what's reasonable?).
there is absolutely nothing wrong with a second opinion. one of two things will happen, they will either agree with your care team (good!) or not. and if not you can take action accordingly.
do not let fear of offending your care team prevent you from taking this important step. they are professionals and should not take it personally. YOU are the best advocate for yourself and your family.
