cf centers in washington

I go to Deaconess! I really like it there-and in my experience it is better than the Seattle center-I feel like they are more pro-active in treatment against my CF. Dr. McCarthy is great as is his nurse and the person who works at the front desk.

I also love the climate over here much better than Seattle (much drier and warmer in the summer/colder in the winter) and I had lived all my life in Seattle until 3 years ago!

Good luck with your decision, and let me know if you have any more questions. Oh-and I have never been a patient in their hospital..so I'm not sure on those details.

One more thing-they are actually moving out of Deaconess and will now be part of Sacred Heart (which is about 500 feet away from Deaconess!

If you choose to go to Spokane, it's only about 5 hours drive or a $68 plane ticket to Seattle if you need the hospital at the UW. I'm sure the Spokane hospital has everything you need, but the UW is one of the leading CF research centers. So just in case...
