I average every 2 months. When I was sick it was every 10 days. Now THAT was a PITA since I am so far from my clinic, but it was a compromise to keep me out of the hospital.

We were going to 2 clinics at the same time for just a little over a year, until we decided if we were going to switch or stay at our current clinic. It's funny, they are only an hour away from each other and one wanted him to come every 3 months and the other saw their patients every 2 months. I've often wondered about the "real" reasons for this. I want to believe the intention of every 2 months is truly for the best interest of the child, but I have to admit I've pondered wheter or not it was for revenue. I may be totally wrong, but it just seems the larger clinic which I feel is still agressive is every 3 mos and the smaller one, is every 2 mos.

I don't know which is the best. Quess every 2 mos if there are alot of health issues, but every 3 mos work for us since he is so healthy. I've beeen know on a few occasions to strectch it a few weeks past the 3 mos, but never more than 4 mos.

I live in Australia and when it was just my eldest we took him every 6 weeks from birth to clinic there were a couple of time when he was really healthy and we went every 8 weeks. not long after our youngest was born we moved over 2000km away from our clinic so they fly up here every 6 months to check out the boys along with they other 20 or so CF kids. We have a great pead here who keeps up with things and checks in with our docs down south if he has any quetions or concerns.

Reading some of the response over time I get the impression that you all have to pay to see your CF team, we are lucky here its all part of the public system. However I am jealous of how you guys can get vests we have to pay the full $15000 if we want one.
