CF Donation Wedding Favors

Hi guys,

First of all, I'm engaged! For about two weeks now... I'm still in a bit of a state of shock. We still haven't set a date or anything; but I've already begun thinking about wedding favors... ha.

In leiu of favors, my cousin donated money to the American Cancer Society in honor of his parents who had recently passed. I know it's a popular thing now to donate to a charity rather than give favors.

My question is - anyone have any ideas on how to do that? I can't really put it in "honor" of anyone because that would be myself, and that's kind of egotistical... haha. Could I do this tastefully?

Thank you!,
Kris

on the cff.org website you can do a wedding registry for people to donate to cf. go to http://www.cff.org/GiftReg/ just let people know you are registered there and you would rather donations than gifts.

Hi Kris,
As part of our wedding favors, we are purchasing "donate life" wrist bands for all our guests. That way we donate to the Gift of Life and our guests can help spread the word for organ donation.
You could do something similar with the CF wrist bands. Just a thought.

My favors were the rubber CF bracelettes from the Milan Foundation (they are purple and that was one of my colors) and purple American Cancer Society Bracelettes since my husband had kidney cancer. This was a good solution for us. Everyone got a favor and two awesome charities got a donation!
