CF Equipment?

I have a couple of questions regarding some CF equipment.

Firstly, I went into my husband's clinic about 6 months ago just to get some practice and making sure I was doing physio properly for him. She introduced some different equipment which of one was the hand held chest percussors. I tried to find where I could buy them but when I found a site I could only find them in a bulk which was quite pricey. Does any one know where I could buy these at?

Also, my next questions are regarding my husband's nebulizer machines. In the past two years, he has gone through several machines. They just seem to start to get "laggy" not sure if that is the word for it but it they just seem to get slower over time and louder. Is this normal for the newer machines? He had an older machine that he had from when he was younger that lasted a good while. No problems but then it just gave out all of a sudden and needed a new one. Ever since then we have already gone through at least 3 in the past year or so. Are there any better machines out there? And we also have a hard time going through machines because they have given us with ones that are hard to change the filter in and also they sometimes don't carry filters at his clinic. So are there any other easier and affordable machines you could recommend?

I had a similar experience, I had an old Pulmo-Aide from the 80's that worked great and then, when I was in the Inspire study, they gave me 2 new Pari compressors. It seems the filters they have on there become increasingly less porous and inhibit the airflow. I ended up cutting it off (since like you it didn't seem to be changeable) and improvising with a bit of N95 mask secured with a zip tie.

It's a solution until you can look at some other compressors.

Thank you. I hate that you have had to have similar problems. It seems like compressors just aren't made as reliant as they used to but that goes for a lot of things. We too have had problems with the Pari compressor which I naively thought would be a better compressor since the nebulizer cups are made by them but oh well. This is an area I also hope they can improve at and make the machines reliant again. It is a hassle for you to not be able to depend on it when you need it to give you medicine.

Eh I rarely do nebs, so it really isn't an issue for me, but it did happen. I wondered if it had to do with it not being used after I did Inspire, but apparently not.

Yeah u can get the filters, but with the model I have you can't get the bloody things to come off. I had to use a scalpel to take it off and even at that I only cut the end off to expose the intake, I didn't bother taking off the part that seems to be superglued to the intake. Maybe it's just that one model?

We have a Proneb and the black part slides out by twisting the black circle with a coin; prying at the edges wouldn't get it out. It looks like a couple models are made similarly, but I have no idea which one you have.
