Ok heres my latest.... Feb 13th went in and had best ever numbers 97% FEV1. I have been feeling tired this past week, tired, worn out but my appitate has been better then ever. This also is the same time that I swtiched from the normal xanax to the xanax xr the long lasting one. I have not been coughing up alot of junk at all. My peak flow at home is usually between 450-500. Latley is always 450 but I hit a 500 2 nights ago. So I went in today thinging that my numbers should be good but to my surprise then were one of the owrst ever!!!

I am done to FEV1 of 77%. Now thats a 19% decrease, and I was like ok her come the ivs. But my doc said that she really thinks with such a drastic change that its asthma not my cf. I had always thought a change of more then 10% was cf not asthma. But she said today that this was a huge jump and that indicates asthma, plus if it was infection that I would be having more mucus comming up.

So what do you all think?

I think it could very well be primarily your asmtha &/or allergies.

I feel it with the weather turning nice. The problem with it is that if the airways close down from the asmtha....it kick starts problems with the CF.

Did she put you on anything more or different for the asmtha?

She put me back on predinsone for another course and is also doing the cipro and bactrim for another course also. I just did them about a month ago but it must not of kicked anything. I just worried that that huge of a drop is BIG and usually they put me right on ivs im not used to them not doing that. She has precribed zyterc for me but i never took it so I guess i can give that a try too.

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else, this is a first for me!!

I would also think about trying Singulair. It has helped me and my pft's are in the tank. I didn't think anything could help me but this seems to be making a differnce.
