i want to get another tattoo, but i want it to have meaning and i want it to be CF related, i dont want the typical rose, or '65 roses' written somewhere. i want it to be almost original but i need ideas. Its hopefully going to be on the back of my neck, or my ankle.

at first i wanted the purple ribbon, and correct me if im wrong, but the purple ribon is not just cf its like child abuse, Alzheimers [[not sure if thats spelled right]]

and i dont want it too big, ive tryed looking online for cf tattoos but there arent any.

if any of you have a picture of your tattoo and it is CF related, id LOVE TO SEE IT!!!!

either gimme a link to it on here or e-mail me at brandi.dan@gmail.com

OK, saw your post earlier and just read it. No ideas on CF related tattoos but figured I'd add this little bit.

Yes, the colors for awareness ribbons are used for different things. I didn't realize that at first but then noticed it on a bracelet awareness site.

If you are wanting to get a tattoo that has special meaning, that has got to come from you. Because it is the design that makes it special to you . You might want something that will cause someone to ask, "why that particular design?"

Yes, there are alot of rose's out there but still not everyone knows the significance behind it.

Still though, you need to think about what CF means to you? What do you want to say?

I myself am not a fan of tattoos but my oldest daughter has two. Both in a spot not seen by just walking past her. She's got a small one at the base of her neck and the other can only be seen in a bathing suit. Go figure! Anyway... She wanted one more in honor of her donor but she was told "NO!" by her transplant team. Now she tries to convince me to get it for her. I'm so extremely thankful, but I don't think so. Now her sister is also thinking of getting one. UGH! But that's not what you asked...

Think about what you want to express. There are those outthere I've seen/heard of that have a butterfly because the lungs look like the wings of a butterfly, someone here has a giant bird on her back. Can't recall her name though. My Anna has an anchor to signify strength. Look at a bunch of different designs and see if one strikes you as to what you want to say.

Good luck in finding what is right for you.
