I like the idea of a pancreatic pump. There are some CFers that have to take A LOT of enzymes or forget to take them & that is a disaster LOL!

Its more for convenience then anything unlike an insulin pump where you are not sticking yourself continuously.

I will have to think some more....

The pancreatic pump sounds like a good idea, but personally I don't need it since i'm one of those CFers who is pancreatic sufficient. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> I had the vest on trial for a bit. It drove me absolutely batty. You're hooked up with tubes to the unit. It vibrates you. I couldn't read, watch TV or do anything while I was being vibrated with it. It bugged out my eyes and gave me headaches. Plus it gave me such wicked itchies I couldn't stand the damn thing. So I returned it after a month knowing I'd never use it regularly since I hated it so much. The contraption fits into a suitcase for traveling. The acapella I can easily toss into my suitcase when traveling. I also often use it in the car or during the day at work. SIMPLE is good. ~Juliet

There was a recent article in the CF roundtable newsletter (for adults) about a women who made a nebulizer holder using a mic (type used in music). My son tried to copy this but he said it gave him a headache.
Maybe you would work on something like this, so those using the nebulizer would have both hands free.

i like the idea of some type of device that's a happy medium between the vest and the acapella or flutter. neither the acapella nor flutter work well enough for me to use them as my primary form of airway clearance and i like my vest but if i want to go anywhere, even overnight, its such a hassle to move.

i like the pancreatic pump idea too...i'm not diabetic so i'm not even sure how insulin pumps work but it seems like a good idea and if i cuts dowm the amount of pills i have to take i can't see the downside!
