I was wondering IF anyone has ever heard of selling used vest? at 6 years old we will be doing the acappella and for now my son is only 9 months old so I am trying to find a way to deal with the PT. I can't afford the vest and we don't have extended health coverage. I was hoping maybe somewhere out there I can find info on a used vest.

any info would help. thanks!

There aren't any on eBay at the moment... They are Rx only, I believe. You should be able to donate it for a tax receipt.

RespirTech with the Incourage vest was wonderful when we were getting dd's vest. They have case managers and they do all the dirty work for you to get your vest. And I have even heard of them setting up a payment plan and working with people if they have a large out of pocket or need some assistance. I would call around or talk to your social worker and see what you can find out.

Contact Hill-Rom - you will be able to complete a Patient Application for Financial Obligation Waiver and there is a chance if you qualify that they will pay for a portion, or even all of the costs associated with the vest. They want you to have what you need for your child. My husband lost his job and I completed the form and even though he had found another job by the time we were approved, we still got 100% covered (that is, after the insurance company paid for their part).

We have had it for our son since he was 10 months old and it is amazing. We love it and my son does well with it. We have only had it for 2 months, but we are so grateful we didn't have to wait another year to get it.
