Aidan was on 2 creon 5 pills per bottle and still is now at 240mls we have just recently started adding poly joule to his bottles as well becuase he has been sick and his weight has dropped off. When Aid was little we used to give him half his pills, half his bottle, rest of pills, rest of bottle, this worked quite well when he was slow at drinking, now he is so fast it only takes about 5 mins for hiim to devour a bottle. We also used the half n half thing when my 8 year old was a bub too.

Andrea - I see you give your baby rice cereal in his bottle at 7 1/2 wks. old. Not trying to step on your toes here, but did your doctor tell you to do this? I know they say now they're finding kids can have lots of GI problems later on and lots of allergies by giving them food too early, including rice cereal. I have a girlfriend that fed her baby food like that really early too and this poor girl has numerous allergies she pretty much can't eat anything normal. The doc thinks it's b/c of the early eating. My CF daughter is 3 1/2 now, but when she was a baby our doc said no food until 6 months old. I didn't give her a drop of food until at least 6 months old. I believe the Nestle Good Start is the best formula ever, it's made with the comfort proteins and she seemed to stay full on that. If I remember right, right around 6 wks. old or so she was sleeping 11-13 hrs. a night w/out waking up, I thought something was wrong with her b/c my 1st daughter didn't sleep like that at all. Anyway, I was just giving the information I know and not trying to upset you and being a no it all b/c I know mother's get plenty of unwanted advise too <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Hi there, my daughter is on 3/4 of a Creon 5000 (is this the same as your Creon 5's?) for each 240ml bottle and each 1tsp cream we add to her solids. She is 8months.

I do remember giving her another Creon if she fed for longer than 45mins, but basically watched the poo to see how she reacted.

Hope you get things sorted! I found it took nearly two months of Creon etc before her body adjusted to the new enzymes, so if your bubs has been newly diagnosed it might take a while for things to settle.
