LMAO!!!

Those are some huge balls...luckily have have small balls <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

3 hours is crazy!! Mine usually take about 1.5 hrs if I remember to take it out at least 30 mins before and if I don't then it is closer to 2 hours.

Totally off topic....Love the countertop!!!! Granite?????? Saweet!!!!!!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

The infusion is only in the inside balloons, so its not as much fluid as it would be in the glass...most antibiotics have to be mixed with more or less NaCl because they are attacking the veins and one can stand them better like this.
Normally one of this should last about one hour to get in your body, because faster is not so good. But sometimes - for example with a port - it lasts longer than it should. In that case there is the possibility to put the medication in even bigger balloons, but it runs faster with those because there is more pressure on them.
Here in Germany we do get all our home IVs in these or similar (no hard plastic, but another thick balloon-layer around the inner one) balloons since years. I´m surprised that many of you don´t know them...

Uli, I've been using the smaller. palm sized balls for years.

I've just never had them this BIG before. I'm assuming that the Zyvox is a larger volume dose than other drugs, hence bigger balls. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
