Chemical Taste in Mouth

The only thing I have heard of is in regard to people who have a port. They sometimes taste what is being flushed through the line (because of hitting all the blood vessels in the head first), I personally smell everything that goes in. I tend not to eat anything while IVs are running because the smell of the drugs alters the taste of the food.

OK I think I figured it out. Last night I started thinking about the eye drops that my dr gave met he other day when I had a reaction to my allergy shot. I've use drops a couple times since then, and last night it hit me that I have only gotten the bitter taste after using the eye drops. This morning I looked at the package, and sure enough, 10% of patients experience bitter taste. Crazy!

didn't read the other threads, but are you taking lunesta to see by chance? or biaxin?

they both cause your salivary glands to secret a weird taste.....
