Chest pains

I get pretty persistant chest pains and tightening. Does this happen to anyone else? What has anyone's doctor said about it. I talked to the doc about it a long time ago and he said it might just be drainage. But it feels like something is pressing agaisn't the right part of my upper chest.

My husband has severe, chronic localized chest wall pain. He gets nerve block shots every so often and is on pain meds for it. No one, not cf specialists, not pain doctors, not his family doctor, knew what it was, what caused it, how to help him. It was first diagnosed as chostocondritis, but now they have settled on nerve pain. They surmise that his coughing has caused damaged. (He has cracked ribs several times). We felt pretty isolated, until a few years ago (I'm not sure if it was this message board or another cf chat board) when I posted asking if anyone had this sort of pain -- and a lot of do, and some also had trouble with dr.s understanding exactly the severity of the pain. Please get a good diagnosis - whether it's this type of pain or something else. No reason for you to have to deal with such pain - you guys have enought to deal with! I hope your dr. listens to you and I hope you feel better soon.

I'm assuming it's not gas pains. I guess you would know the difference?
I get sharp, shooting pains in my chest, often around my heart and if I burp or toot they go away. Sometimes they are so bad that it's almost like I'm paralyzed and can't move until the "gas" moves or whatever.
This is probably not what kind of pain you were referring to, though, right?

Once in a while I get a pretty sharp pain in the upper right side, usually upon waking up. It hurts when I breathe deeply, cough, bend down, or lay on my side. But it subsides after a few hours. I always worry it's a pneumo. At the very least, it's generally a sign I'm not doing so hot. I wouldn't wait a week to go in.

I have had a couple sharp pains in my right and left upper bronchi, right around my heart. I actually had one last night when I took a bigger breath in. I did my vest, and didn't have a problem. If it continued I would be concerned. I have no idea what it is. Maybe some stenosis in my bronchi, who knows... such guessing games you know...

I get pain on the ribs regularly. I also get some deep pains when I inhale sometimes, anywhere in the lungs (recently it's been near my right shoulder).
