chest X ray

I wish mark the best. Pretty odd to see all that just from a chest X-ray. I have no idea how much Mark is into alternative/herbal self treatments/research regarding our disease, but it really does help. We all degrade, but i'm sure dealing with several toddlers all at once can't be a good thing for his overall health (though he achieved his goal of being a dad). The lack of sleep alone can compound small things into being big things, but that's the trade off for being a generally healthy CF male being able to have children. I know absolute jack about his baseline, but it's never too late to raise that baseline due to other avenues. Tell him I said get better.

Hey Julie,

Long time no see. I'm sorry to hear that Mark's x-rays don't look too good, i hope things arn't as bad as they seem and i hope he gets better real soon.
Tell him to look after himself, those little munchkins need him to stay strong.

Take care and try to get some rest.

I am sorry to hear this. I hope an extra effort in treatments (not just working out) will boost him back up a bit!

I'm hoping he will feel better with some extra treatments, like Melissa said. Maybe a nice IV tune-up will turn things around for him too. When you need it, you need it. Feel better Mark!!! <img src="">

Sleep is the only solution from what I hear. Of course doing your Cf treatments will help him stay healthier. I know if you do all the treatments and take all the right supplements and eat healthy as I am sure he does, if he lacks in the sleep dept, it is hard to stay healthy. Your body will age that much quicker.

aight sleep, but after their 4mos shots, they have only been sleeping 7-8 hours, which means he only sleeps about 3-4 hours in a stretch (becuse we eat dinner AFTER they go to bed because of when I get off of work) and says he never feels recovered.

</end quote></div>

I don't care how healthy of a CFer you are, lack of sleep is going to push your lungs downhill. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> But that's part of having kids....

Julie, I know you guys are doing everything you can to make it all work smoothly. You have a tough challenge. But, it IS a reality that Mark needs more continuous hours of sleep. 3-4 hour stretches, even if they are strung together, are not the same as one continuous 6-8 hour stretch. Is there any way he could eat earlier and then go to bed earlier for awhile? I know that leaves you alone in the evenings, but maybe for the short term that could work. Could someone come and stay at your place and be the "night" helper for awhile so that neither of you would have to get up during the night? You have probably already thought of these solutions and more, so don't mind me. I just know it's important for cfers to get lots of rest. I go through terrible phases of not being able to sleep, and my lungs definitely suffer. Hang in there, and thanks for pushing Mark to go to the doctor, get the x-ray, etc.
