Thanks guys. Its Craigs clinic today, but we will need to phone his nurse this morning to see if it will be ok for him to go, he is in first at clinic. I have heard of getting spots within the lungs, thats what worried me first. One person in Scotland that I know of actually died because the spots burst inside and caused septicemnia, he was a man, dont know what age, but the older you are the more severe it can get. He didn't have CF.

If I'm going to get them I've worked out that they will hit me on Christmas morning....oh what fun we will have.

DS has had the vaccine; however, a couple of years ago, he developed a rash AND there was a child at preschool who'd gotten chicken pox. As a precaution, he doctor put him on some antiviral medicine -- avcylic (sp) or something like that. Was supposed to help reduce the symptons, decrease the amount of time he'd be sick.... Turn out it was just a rash.

A friend of mine got chickenpox in high school -- senior year -- and he was out for several months. Not something to mess around with if you're older and haven't gotten it. Younger kids, like craig I think there's more concern with the virus getting into the lungs and shedding, causing respiratory problems.
