Chronic sinusitis--could it possibly be CF?

Thanks for your replies ladies--my sons ENT is sending a RX for the sweat test. Juliet, was type of treatment do they give you since you have been diagnosed? What happens if they determine it is CF? What treatment approach is generally used?
Sandy, it sounds like you are kind of at the same spot we are at. I hope you are able to get the genetic testing that you need.
Thanks again, will hope for some new answers as we start the testing process.

Jerse0440 - THey haven't been doing anything specific for my sinuses due to my CF DX. I'd been on an allergy regimen (the kind where you get weekly shots with a tailored serum to desensitize you to the allergens). I'm continuing with that which helps considerably. I had surgery a little over a year now so mechanically speaking there's not much they can do right now (ie the polyps haven't had time to grow back yet!) One thing I've been doing (haven't discussed this with the docs though!) is breathing out through my nose when I'm doing my nebs (Xopenex and Pulmozyme). It seems to help open my sinuses up (along with my lungs) in the morning during my usual routine. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> ~Juliet
