The only thing I know that you're not supposed to mix with Cipro is dairy products. Not too sure why but I do know that when I take it, it has a tendency to make me nauseous and dairy makes it worse. I always eat something non-dairy though when taking it because it helps ease the stomach.

Ditto what they all said. I was on both Cipro and Bactrim back around October and when I took them on an empty stomach I did not feel well after. Once I started having something to eat with them - much better!

I found this about Cipro on drugs.com "Do not take Cipro with dairy products such as milk or yogurt, or with calcium-fortified juice. You may eat or drink dairy products or calcium-fortified juice with a regular meal, but do not use them alone when taking Cipro. They could make the medication less effective." There wasn't anything about Bactrim and food.
