ciprofloxacin and azithromycin interactions

Hi allDo Ciprofloxacin and Azithromycin interact with each other if taken at same time or same day? If so, what is proper length of time between taking both antibiotics?

I have never had any interactions with taking them at the same time. I am assuming you are talking about Cipro daily for a current exacerbation and the usual 3x a week Azithromycin?

Yes for now 14 days of cipro therapy and azithromycin on every alternate days

It's been several years, but DS took the Cipro with his regular meds including azithromycin. Really no issues other than he hated the taste or texture of the cipro liquid

I've been on both meds daily since 2008. I'm not aware of any interactions. I take a lot of oral antibiotics and I generally try to take them over a period of time to avoid upsetting my stomach.

I've never had an interaction either. Cipro will wreak havoc on your stomach tho, eat before taking it, even then it still messes mine up. It always kicks the bug for me!
