Cleaning baby carrier

i was curious if anyone had suggestions for cleaning a fabric baby carrier backpack before putting my daughter with CF in it. I can't throw it in the washing machine because it's too big. She puts her mouth on everything, she's 6 1/2 months. I don't want to use chemicals and then have her get that in her mouth. Her other baby carrier is getting too small and I could throw that in the washing machine periodically. Ideas anyone?

You could try a large load washer at the lauderomat or soak and wash it by hand in the bathtub. Good luck.

You can hose it down. Depending on what exactly you want as a result. If it is to kill some germs, try an anti-bacterial soap & use a scrub brush. Otherwise regular laundry detergent. If its the material I am thinking of, you shouldnt need a lot of soap. Just scrub good & rinse very well. Let air dry. I hope this is all possible. If not you can try a commercial washing machine, but I would still air dry it.
