Cold or Allergies

I picked up something a couple weeks ago. Lost my voice, developed a bit of a cough, stuffy nose. DH followed suit, so I was a little worried about DS. He started to get a little bit of a boogery nose, sneezing, so we had him do sinus rinses a couple of times. He was also starting tobi that same week and sometimes he gets a little stuffier, and increases nose picking <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Is her nasal mucus clear or yellow? Before we convinced DS to do sinus rinses last year, we'd use saline spray and the dreaded booger sucker to help get that stuff out. Would also steam up the bathroom and let him play in the tub for a good long time before bed to get stuff moving out of his nose.

Her mucus is kinda greenish I guess (?). I have never seen so much snot come out of anyones nose is my life. I called her dr. and they told me to just increase her allergy meds for now which made a huge difference. She slept through the night and wasn't congested at all so it must've worked. I guess they've seen a lot of kids this week with the same symptoms.

My youngest is actually going through this right now. He gets allergies that really bug him in the Spring and right around now when weather in Nebraska doesn't know what it wants to do.

He is currently on Singular and it seems to do better than any other allergy med that we have tried. I would give it a couple of days and then maybe call the CF clinic and see what they suggest. I know even when I do break down and call they tell me just to watch for a couple more days and do treatments every 4 hours hours and see if it gets any better.

It seems with us that it sometimes gets better on it's own and sometimes we actually just take him to his pediatrician who is in the same town that we live in and that way she can actually see him. Hope this helps.

**Oh and about the green snot, we were always told that green doesn't always mean infection especially with CF patients.
