Hello!
New to this so apologize upfront if I don't do this correctly. My daughter how is 18 w/cf has had some problems with her colon not functioning at all. She currently has a cecestomy (tube in the lower area of her belly) to help things; however, it keeps getting infected, so the GI doctor recommended for her to think about having her colon removed and they would surgically connect things so she won't have tube. Has anyone had this done? If so, please let me know if it helped things. Feel so bad that she has to deal with this. She has also has CFRD; however, lung function are really good. Though a portion of her lungs, are in bad shape. She is an amazing girl. The other thing though that she is experience is massive water gain. This girl can weigh in the morning with one figure and by the end of day without eating much, she gains up to 10 lbs. So uncomfortable. Any one else experience this? Truly hope this is okay to ask. Hope everyone is doing well. Have a great weekend!
