Hey Anon...I just got an e-flow too!! If you are prescribed COLI with this neb, you get less medicine because the residual volume (amount left in neb) left over is almost non-existant! (75mg)
However, when I was on COLI through a normal neb, 150mg mixed with 2cc of sterile water, and you have to mix it yourself. When I was in the hospital, several nurses told me that when COLI was 1st out, they were mixing it with saline, but it made it bubble up, and nearly impossible to administer. Just talk to your clinic, and they should prescribe you the right amount, along with what to mix it with, and the instructions to do so!!
Good luck! COLI has shown to increase the sensitivity to different antibiotics, and periodically I will be put on it for 3 months straight (rather than switching off from TOBI to COLI every month), and I have shown more sensitivity in my cultures. I learned this from my Dr. at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
