confused abot the symptoms

I heard of someone that was diagnosed with adult CF and had no positive test results. What do you know about this? After having been tested I am more aware of my symptoms and their relationship to CF. Should I be at all concerned if when I get my ambry test it may be all negative? Which is of course good, but why are all my symptoms so similar to many here? My worry is I am getting worse and am a non smoker. My Dr. said my bronciectasis and bronchitis won't get worse unless I am a smoker. This confuses me.

I really am confused and need answers, that's why I'm writing.
I was just diagnosed with inflamation/colitis. My Dr. took me off antibiotics for chronic sinusitis because of this. I am low with my IGG and IGA for pertusis. Does any of this correlate or make any sense?
Thanks,
NZ

Many doctors are willing to treat someone "as if they have CF" when they see classic CF symptoms but no genes... the assumption is that the genes have not been discovered yet.

Nasal potential testing can help confirm a diagnosis if the Ambry comes back negative.

What are your symptoms? Have you ever cultured pseudomonas aeruginosa?

I go to the Dr. in April. My Immuno. wanted her to do the testing. He only did the short version. If he hadn't done the tests as I mentioned above, I would never have thought in this direction.

You sure are on top of things Alyssa!
I have various symptoms.
Barking cough.
Bring up, cough up sputum.
Bronciectasis
Bronchitis chronic, and acute a few times a year. Over the years it has been getting worse which is very scary. prednisone didn't help much this year, on it for a month
In the PM when I lie down my spose hits my back to loosen up things.
had Pneumonia this year For many years when I went to the hospital with bronchitis they would have sworn I had pneumonia
Actelectasis
some asthma inhalers never helped me much
gerd, had esophogitis
had ulcers, years of gastritis
now have inflamation in intestines, (colitis) hurts to eat etc. Had this about 4 years now.
diabetes
hypothyroid
immune system questionable areas not where they should be
chronic sinusitis Dr. took me off meds when he heard about the colitis
had my gallblader out in sept.
High cholesterol

Have you ever cultured pseudomonas aeruginosa? No, but I did just have a bronchoscopy
It sure feels wierd listing my issues on the web. I hope this is helpful.
Thanks,
