I also used injection Tobra through my nebs for years, until just recently when I went on TOBI. Just follow the doctors instructions, and you'll be just fine.

I use tobramycin for injection too, my clinic said it is always to be mixed with my ventolin as by itself it can/will cause brochospasm I believe they said, basically constriction of the airways, and apparently some people are more sensitive than others. They made me do a pft test before using it and right after to compare how it affected me, I think they said that if there is over a 5% or 10% decrease(can't remember which exactly) then they won't recommend it as a treatment, but instead will try the Tobi or another inhaled antibiotic that doesn't cause so much reaction. So you may want to look into it properly rather than just taking it and risking an asthma attack or something.

Both of my boys have been on injection tobra since they were 2years old. They are now 12 and take 40mg twice a day, mixed with saline. At one point they were taken 80mg twice a day but they couldnt tolerate that much and would have huge coughing fits.
