Is it the gastro that ordered the sweat? I'd think its time for you to get to an accredited CF center and have the pulm order the tests. I'm sorry you just can't get answers! Keep pushing, no one knows your son as well as you.

that's also something I can take up with his pediatrician when we go in a few weeks, I don't really know what the insurance will pay for, but I know they'll only pay if the ped. refers us first.

This may sound crazy but have you done the poop float test? We did this during our time of waiting to see if Avery had CF. If is floats it is a good indicator that CF may be present. Poop should sink, CF's poop floats because the food is not being digested properly (pre enzymes) it has alot greasiness to it.
