We're military and move a lot, but we found out a couple months ago that we'll be here on a back to back tour so if we have to move eventually, I guess it's a good selling point.

We were trying to get a grant to cover the costs (which we didn't get) so we chose all the top of the line options. I think you can can probably work it down.

We were going to have another estimate done too see if we could get a better price now that we'll pay for it on our own.

We were told about a local foundation that gives money to children with disabilities so they they can stay in their own homes. The foundation is primarily for kids with physical limitations so they can get wheelchairs or ramps etc. The person who told us has a daughter who has received grant money. She thought we would qualify because at the time our boys were fighting an environmental mycobacteria which could have come from the air or water in our home.

We didn't get the grant. We were told their were insufficient funds, but we didn't know if they just don't do cf kids, we asked for too much or whatever.

It was the only one we knew about but sometimes your clinic social worker can direct you to grant money in your area.
