I just wanted to update everyone on what the CF center docs decided to do. They decided to put him on a round of oral antibotics for 14 days which he just finished up because my husband had gotten an upper respititory infection and they wanted to cover all of the bases. They decided to also have him take 20 mg of Zyrtec a day instead of the 10 mg he was taking. They also wanted him to do his Flonase nose spray 2 times a day instead of just once. Knock on wood I haven't heard him cough but today at his soccer game with be the real test. My concern is once he is on the Zyrtec for so long it seems as though it doesn't work as well and that the drainage will start again but we will have to wait and see. We are going to see an allergery doc that is very good the end of October for a second opinion and some further allergy testing. I will keep everyone updated but thought I would post the update incase it might help others.
