Unfortunately, I hate that clinic. It's more the doctor. Her name is Dr. Shultz. Definitely don't recommend her. She actually KICKED us out of the clinic a week before Christmas a few yrs ago and because of that, we couldn't just see another doctor there, we had to go to a different clinic. It was totally unexpected. I still have no idea what we could have done that was so bad she had to do that. I always tried to have a good relationship with them. I might have called too much, asked too many questions, doubted some of her answers, Idk. When we asked all we got was that she had the right to see who she wants and that's that. It was probably the most stressful and hurtful things I've ever dealt with. On the plus side, I've heard great things about the other doctorsso I only wanted to warn you about her. Also, your child will most likely only see one doctor the whole time he/she goes there. I never saw another doc other than her. At the clinic we go to now, Dallas Children's, she sees a different doc every time almost. I don't like that. But supposidly that's normal. Anyways, good luck!

I saw Dr. Cunningham back in the late 80's and I really liked him. He communicated very well with my primary physicians and we were located in Whichita Falls. Good luck in your move.

Hi, figured I'd add my 2 cents as well. My girls went to Cooks back in '91-'92, then again in 2005-2008. We are now retired military so that is why there's a gap. My girls saw Dr. Hadeed, both times. We were assigned to him the first time and asked for him the second time. He is great. Kate is right though, you do only see one doc the entire time you are there unless you go in through the ER, then, it's who ever is on call. That was the hardest part to get used to since every clinic we'd ever been too (except for the Netherlands)you saw everyone on the team. From what we've been told, he is the only doc that puts in his own picc lines. What I can recall I didn't like was that, I always got a voice mail when I called the clinic and had to wait for a return call from the nurse which usually came at the end of the day, so a problem couldn't be addressed until the next day really. For Rachel, that was no problem as her issues were usually not urgent, for Anna' that was a problem because when we called it was usually urgent. My girls no longer go there because they went off to college. OH! Also important is the hospital services! The nurses on the 5th floor, which is almost always where my girls would be, are wonderful. I think 5E, go right when you get off the elevators.

Let me tell you this little story. After we had already been gone from the clinic for years, like 10, we were home (TX) visiting and were short about three days worth of enzymes. For once I had not done the medication packing. With our prescriptions being filled through the military pharmacy there was no way of transferring it to a local pharmacy and our military docs can't call in scripts. I can't recall why we couldn't get one phoned in from the CF clinic??? Anyhow... our last resort was to call Cooks, I asked to speak with the CF coordinator and explained what was going on. Would you believe they remembered us! After 10 years! They said, "No problem! Where do you want us to call it in to?"

Enjoy N.Texas.
