Jesus that's terrible, I didn't know that's what happened. I started to read her blog but have not made my way through all of the entries. She is a beautiful writer. I didn't mean to make light of something so potentially dangerous, but I think the shirts might spread awareness (it certainly gave me new knowledge) that most of the general population has no idea about. I like the "morbid" or serious nature of the shirts because, to me, it says "Look at what you (farmers/lawmakers/whoever) are doing... why are you doing this to us? This is sick."
Noone would put salmonella on your tomatoes or ebola on your strawberries, why are they using cepacia as if it's some innocuous little bug? We (as a CF community) should really be more vocal about this; it's stupid, unsafe and unnecessary - and all, from what I read, to save a buck.
