I found out that b.cepacia can be found in some chemicals that farmers use on their corn and bean fields, although it has been outlawed some farmers still use it. About 10 maybe 15 years ago it was the best thing to keep pests off their crops but because of different forms of bacteria it grew it was banned. I live smack dab in the middle of a corn field and about 6 years ago I cultured b.cepacia. I only cultured it once and never again. The doctors thought it was a "miracle" because only about 1% of people can get it then it go away. He also said that if that happens I cant get it again (I have a hard time believing that) A specialist said it was probably a wrong culture test or something along those lines. Also moldy onions carry b.cepacia. I know that probably didnt help any but if you have moldy onions get them out ASAP! (it'll only make it worse)
