My son always gets a cough about a week after starting Tobi. The same thing happened to my nephew who just started tobi this month. Not sure why. I think it does mention the cough in the literature that comes along with the tobi medication.

When my son was a baby, he had to be on Tobi. His cough got so bad from the Tobi, I had to stop giving it to him.

DS sometimes get a little hoarse or froggy sounding right away when he starts. Sometimes a little cough, which eventually goes away.

He has gotten a junkier cough in the past mid-cycle or toward the end, and then the doctor has ended up putting him on Cipro. It always confused me because the poor kid is on so many meds he's practically glowing, yet still gets sick.

i don't think you should worry that much..there is a such thing as having a 'tobi cough'..my daughter gets it and her cf doctor is aware of it when it occurs and doesn't get overly concerned about it. Good luck.

no, he is not on any bronchodialators yet. It seems like he is having a productive cough mostly. So, i think the antibiotics may be decreasing the inflammation and just letting the gunk out. This is what I am hoping anyway. 20 days left of holding the little guy down and watching Elmo and Blues Clues.

Thanks so much guys for your feedback. I don't know where my boys would be without you!!!!!!

Blessings,
Missa
