i actually think they do blood test on me for that twice a year. i'm having one done on the 20th when i go in for check-up. i drank coffee that morning too and didn't eat anything, so the caffiene and sugar might have done it to me.

hmmm...

The OGTT you will have to drink a bunch of glucola and get a blood draw before you drink it, 1 hour after and 2 hrs after.

you do that 2x a year?

My Last GCTT was the 5 hour test..

I at time have Low Blood sugar but to date has never been high.

I make it a point to have a test every 2 years.
But having had gestational diabetes, Requesting a GCTT would be a good idea .

I have a Friend who does not have cf who had what they thought was
gestational diabetes.. Her Child is now 14 and My friend still
has diabetes. Diabetes can hit you at any time.

I too was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. My daughter is now 7 months and I just did the OGTT last week as a follow up. My fasting was 81 and 2 hours after the glucola it was 79. The nurse I spoke with said 79 was on the low end of normal and asked if I ever felt shaky like my blood sugar was low. Every once in awhile I do get shaky and sweaty like you're describing. She said what can happen is when your body gets a lot of carbs at once the cf pancreas can give off insulin in surges resulting in a low blood sugar, perhaps this happens to you if you've eaten a lot of carbs at once? I am going to follow up with my Dr., but probably would be a good idea to check your blood sugars when that happens and keep a little snack with you at all times so it doesn't dip too low!
