Also, does CF affect bone structure in any way? He walks hunched over, almost like a little old man and his chest midline in off center and he has a weird bone structure in his chest, one side protrudes more than the other.</end quote></div>
My son Jordan started to hunch over when he hit his puberty growth spurt. I was told it was a spine disorder called Sherman's Kyphosis. He had an 8 hour spine surgery to correct it. It was during the pre-surgery testing that we found out our son has CF. He was 15 yo, and I questioned if the two were related, and was told no. I'm still not convinced, since CF causes malabsorption issues. Jordan is PS, and is not under weight, but I still feel there may be a connection.
I agree that you should get your son tested for CF. I also understand you saying it would be nice to get a diagnosis, even though nobody wants to have CF. It helps me to know there is a real condition that has caused my son's problems all of these years. I knew I wasn't completely crazy! (I have to admit to a little crazy though <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0"> LOL) Anyway, I hope you get the answers you need, and that your son can start to feel better.
