also has anyone ever had infections with CF that dont get better fully before they return just as bad despite being on antibiotics? as in double ear infections throat infections and chest infections... sorry for all the questions but i am very interested and would like as much ammo for my docs as possible. thank you.</end quote></div>

This happened with my son a lot! We had several sets of tubes put in his ears, aednoids taken out, etc. He suffered numerous throat and chest infections. Sometimes he would improve after a few days on meds, but before we were finished with the 10 day round, he would be sick again.

Keep in mind that not all states test for CF in their newborn screening. Go to you state's health department web site to see if they test for it.

In Brisbane, there are lots of paediatric CF clinics and private doctors. I posted a link for contact details in my last post. The Brisbane phone number is: 3359 8000. They have an office in Kedron, on the northside. They won't be able to do the test but they will give you advice on where to go.

thefrogprincess, all states in Australia have newborn screening. That's how I was diagnosed in 1984! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
