could tobi cause pinkeye?

my daughter does tobi 28 days on, 28 off. She has gotten pink eye 4 times in the last year, and it always seems to be within a few days of starting up tobi again. I try my hardest to keep it out of her eyes, but she's a squirmer!

it's possible. pink eye is normally caused by a virus or a bacteria that causes inflammation in the lining of the eye, but it can sometimes be caused by environmental factors. it would surprise me if her eyes were reacting to the tobi but the rest of her body wasn't though, b/c environmental pinkeye (non-viral or bacterial) is usually due to allergies. so you'd think that if the tobi were giving her pink eye it would also be causing other signs of allergic reaction. does that make any sense? at any rate, i would bring it up with your doctor for sure.

just a sidenote: if the tobi is the cause then even your best efforts to keep it out of her eyes could be useless, b/c the mist is going to go into the air in general and her eyes are exposed to that.

What does she do TOBI for? What was she culturing?

Here is a link to pinkeye that I found. It sounds like TOBI creme can be used to treat it, so I wouldn't imagine another for would 'cause' it. Read about the bacterial conjunctivitis, I wonder if it could be a bacteria?

Jordin did TOBI for 1 month and that was it...but we never had any problems with it. Hope this article helps a little <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif" border="0">)

I thought about the same thing when it came down to her being allergic to the TOBI. Wouldn't make sense her eyes would react and not the rest of her...anything's possible though, maybe sensitive eyes?
