How in the world do you get all those calories in your body while having to watch carbs, sugars, etc!

Thank you all again!

I couldnt do it with watching carbs. I do watch my concentrated sugars more. No soda (tho I never drank a lot), no white sugar in my coffee (no use sugar substitute), but cant give up my carbs.

I was put on a short acting insulin & just cover what I eat. My doctor by no means want me to limit my food intake in any way to control my sugars.

I have a hard enough time with keeping my weight without that added pressure.

If it is CFRD the most difficult thing is the sugar checks. To get an idea of what triggers (times, foods, amount of insulin if any etc) you usually have to monitor things closely until you get the hang of it which requires frequent finger sticks.

Like anything else tho....it falls into a routine!
