Covering your accessed port in the shower.

Hi all,

I got my port in July, and this is my first round of antibiotics with the port. Right now, when I shower, I cover up the area w/a ziploc bag or some other plastic taped to my skin. I was wondering if anyone had any other creative ideas.

Have you ever tried Aquaguard? You can request it from your infusion company. I used to get it from Coram. I would secure the Aquaguard with tape so it does not fall off.

I use Aquaguard too. and i add the orange/pink-ish tape from the hospital. i always am wishing there were an easier way though..
